The Liberal Arts Advantage Impact
A range of classes have enjoyed interactive Liberal Arts Advantage workshops. The LAA team typically visits about 10 courses per semester. Some recent course visits include:

spring 2023 snapshot
- Students from 29 unique majors reached
- Students participating included those graduating in 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026
- Pre-presentation surveys revealed that 67 % of participants had not engaged with Career and Professional Development (CPD) previously; another 14% were not sure if they had previously engaged with CPD.
- Pre-presentation surveys revealed that the majority of students were only somewhat confident in articulating the benefits of their UNCG liberal arts education to a future employer. (40% rated themselves as a 3 on a 5-point, Lickert scale)
- Post-presentation surveys revealed a significant shift in this confidence level just after the one-shot LAA programming. (24% rated themselves a 5—up from 9% on the pre-survey; 34% rated themselves a 4—up from 20% on the pre-survey; and 29% rated themselves a 3 on the same 5-point, Lickert scale.)
- 70% of those asked reported being very likely or extremely likely to “participate in future UNCG CPD programming or request CPC services”
