Join the University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s (UNCG) University Libraries for a virtual author talk-back with award-winning novelist and essayist, Laila Lalami, as she discusses her collection of work and latest publication, Conditional Citizens.
Moderating the event will be Dr. Omar Ali, Dean of UNCG’s Lloyd International Honors College and professor of Global and Comparative African Diaspora History.
This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required.
About the author: Lalami has authored four novels, including The Moor’s Account, which won the American Book Award, the Arab-American Book Award, the Hurston/Wright Legacy Award and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, and The Other Americans, which was a Los Angeles Times bestseller, a best-of-2019 selection from a dozen outlets, and a finalist for the National Book Award in Fiction. Her newest book is a work of nonfiction titled Conditional Citizens.
