About

Recognizing that the humanities are at the core of the university’s mission, the Humanities Network and Consortium (HNAC) brings together scholars from a wide variety of disciplines to promote faculty research and to engage the broader public.  HNAC takes a three-pronged approach:  First, it offers support for humanities faculty, fostering interdisciplinary collaborations as well as individual projects.  Second, through its career initiatives, it communicates with students and parents about how a humanities education promotes creative thinking, fosters career readiness and public leadership, and develops informed and critical citizens.  Finally, it promotes public engagement, connecting humanities faculty to community groups and institutions outside the university.
